The “Fabulous Floors” issue featured cork flooring installed in a wine room of a Sorenson Construction home.

Cork flooring is an increasingly popular option.  In addition to ease of maintenance – damp mopping with a mild detergent – cork tiles are easier on the feet, ankles and knees.

It’s also considered an environmentally friendly material.  It’s made from the bark  of the cork oak tree through a process tht strips the cork without inflicting harm to the tree or requiring that a tree be harvested.
